Breaking down the data returned by PageSpeed Insights tool

Page Speed Score: This is pretty descriptive. It returns a value of your site’s load time. Ideally you need to aim to be in the green bar, which is 70 to 100, but it doesn’t mean you don’t need to optimize your site for load time if you are in the green bar. Try to reach close to 100 for complete satisfaction.

Page Code Analysis: Simply put, this pie chart displays the code structure of your site. A site is typically made of HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript. You don’t want too many CSS files as they can negatively impact your site’s load time. Avoid keeping Javascript and CSS files above the fold (viewable area of the visitor of your website without any scroll) as they can affect the load time of important pages and images of your website.

Page Optimization Suggestions: This section displays the suggestions which you can implement on your site to see noticeable improvement in load time of your website. However, there might be some suggestions which are out of your scope for correction and can possibly break the code of your website. So always make sure you take necessary backups before editing or removing any files on your website.

Page loading speed is one of the important factors which you need to consider if you are into online business or marketing. This is one of the metrics which pleases human visitors and search engine spiders alike. Potential buyers love a quick loading website and are more likely to purchase your recommendation/product unlike a recommendation from a sluggish website.
